Steam Locomotive 5917 will head The Riverina Picnic Train for one day only!

 

Note: The Riverina Picnic Train trip from Goulburn to Junee (return) scheduled for Saturday, 28 March has been postponed. All ticket holders have been refunded, as was are not able to reschedule the tour at this point in time.

 

Departing from Goulburn to Cootamundra or Junee and return, a rare opportunity to ride steam on the Main South Line south of Goulburn. There are two hours available in Junee for lunch before our return run via the famous Bethungra Spiral.

 

In Cootamundra or Junee you are free to visit one of the local establishments while the locomotive is turned at Junee Roundhouse.

 

Daylight savings ensure you can enjoy the spectacular southern NSW sunset enroute between Yass and Goulburn while climbing the famous Cullerin Ranges

First Class Private Compartment — $800 (spacious compartment seating up to 6 people)

Standard Private Compartment — $700 (standard compartment seating up to 8 people)

Adult — $105 (16yo+)

Senior — $95 (Seniors card holders)

Child — $80 (2–15yo)

Babies in arms and toddlers not occupying a booked seat may travel for free.

Buffet Car:

The Riverina Picnic Train is equipped with a Buffet Car where light meals/snacks and beverages can be purchased. Passengers are also welcome to bring their ‘picnic hampers’ and non-alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic beverages need to be purchased on board. Passengers are able to walk through the train to the Buffet Car.

 

Strictly no BYO alcohol.

There are no EFTPOS facilities on board. Customers will need to bring appropriate amounts of cash.

 

Toilets:

Toilets are available in most carriages.

 

Mobile Phones:

There are no charging points on the heritage equipment. It is recommended that you bring an external battery charger for your mobile devices.
