Come and ‘Live in the Past’ on a steam train journey behind former NSW Government Railways locomotive 5917 on the The Shoalhaven Picnic Train on Saturday, 9 November 2019. This special late afternoon/evening tour from Wollongong is a rare opportunity to experience steam all the way to the terminus of the South Coast Line to Bomaderry (Nowra) where you can alight from the train for a quick visit to the ‘local’ before heading back to Kiama for a two-hour stopover. While in Kiama, you will be able to have a relaxing dinner at one of the town’s fine restaurants or bistros before reboarding The Shoalhaven Picnic Train back to Wollongong.
